Hooptie and SnackBar Configurations
The Hooptie & SnackBar hand rail system offers a wide variety of configurations to fit the growing needs of your rear passengers. Below are the most common configurations and the parts needed to build them on your ride.
Please note: The current Hooptie and SnackBars with brackets are only compatible with the All-in-One Rack found on current (Shimano drive) Xtracycle models.
Full Hooptie
Best for young passengers who might need additional help staying contained on the rear deck. The inner, padded hand rail keeps little hands comfortable & protected from brushes with the outside environment. Two width positions on each Hooptie rail allow for three width configurations. The widest setting is compatible with rear child seats that clamp to the rear deck, like the Yepp Nexxt series. Narrower settings give rear passengers a snugger fit.
Requires: Longtail Hooptie (for Swoop or Stoker) or RFA Hooptie.
Half Hooptie
Best for passengers who are able to get on and off the bike on their own. This configuration is also compatible with a rear child seat
Requires: Longtail HalfHooptie or RFA HalfHooptie.
For riders with a full Hooptie that want to swap one of the rails for SnackBars, you just need to replace one of the rails with a set of SnackBars without brackets.
Dual SnackBars
Best for older children or adult passengers.
Requires: Two sets of SnackBars with brackets.
For riders with a full Hooptie that want to swap out both rails for SnackBars, you just need to replace the rails with two sets of SnackBars without brackets.
Single SnackBars
Best for one older child or adult passenger. Not recommended for more than one rear passenger.
Requires: One set of SnackBars with brackets.
